What is MCGC?
MCGC, or, The Michigan Color Guard Circuit, was founded in 1975 in order to promote the indoor marching arts activities and their continued growth. Participants are encouraged to raise standards of achievement in terms of excellence and creativity. This must be, however, balanced with the primary need of ensuring respect for all. Competition is the chosen method for organizing this youth activity. This is very similar to MCBA (Michigan Competing Band Association), which the marching band already participates in.
